wiper switch - power feed

Hi,
I have a problem with my wipers (they're not working)
I have checked the whole system and it looks like the switch is faulty.. I've run the meter between the switches for the wiper speeds and get a trace at the loom pin side (on the back of the switch)
I have noted that there is a small brass pivot that looks like it takes its power from the indicator feed and its passed through the back of the indicator stalk assembly onto the brass pivot.
Am I right in thinking this?
If so I'll take some pics and add something to the wiki...
I've ordered the new wiper switch, but it looks like its the indicator switch thats the faulty one!
anyone else seen this sort of problem?
