Fuel leak

Hello all
Ive just filled up my tank on my 1983 type 25. When i returned after paying there was a large puddle of fuel on the floor under the van. the pool was about the same size as the van. Anyone got any ideas where the leak could be coming from. It looks like it might be coming from the passenger side of the tank but cant see as its above the tank. Its a fuel injected model, are these tanks pressurised as i know the fuel system is. Thanks in advance

its probably from the connections on the small breather pipes that go to the expansion tanks. mine does that if i fill it right up the neck.
did it stop as soon as the level went down a little?
oh and no the tank isn't pressurised

Thanks for the reply.
It has stopped now but i did fill it right to the top and as much as i could get in. I presume its still safe to drive just dont fill the tank right up? untill i get chance to drop the tank that is. Didnt think the tank was pressurised its just the fuel system itself that is pressurised.

The fuel tank is a odd shape. A sort of inverted saddle or U shape.
The sides are higher than the middle. The middle (originally designed to allow the heater ducting to pass) is a trap for mud and water, this sometimes rusts through the tank and allows fuel to leak out.
My expansion tank (the ones in the wheel arches) fuel lines were perished, but only allowed a few drips of fuel to escape.
Safe to drive?????? Well thats up to you? Personally I'd be a bit worried about it. Definitely NO Smoking and don't park too close to a campfire or cooker.

Thanks everyone.
Problem
solved.
I took the wheel off on the passenger side and had a feel around. there is a plastic Y shape with a rubber grommet which connects the 2 sides of the tank and leads into the expansion tanks. well the plastic Y piece had sheered off and broken. It was a fiddly oily struggle but i managed to take the broken one off and replace a new one without dropping the tank. I knew buying that spare old van for 500 dollers would pay off in the long run (cant wait too rub i in with the missus) so i borrowed the same Y piece from my doner van and its now sorted.
