fitting vdo oil press sender to 1.9 w/c and dash buzzer!!!!!

I ve got my dash buzzer going off, so far i have changed sender (high pressure- to buzzer) and replaced oil pump (which wasnt that bad) I've heard it may just be faulty electrics i.e buzzer, is this a recognised fault for this van?. I have a vdo sender/ guage to test the pressure but the sender is too buliky to fit, i think i need some type of extention.
does any body know about:
A) fitting vdo senders to 1.9 wc engines?
B) if the oil pressure is ok, how to stop the bloody buzzer going off!!

any help would be much appreaciated as this fault has stopped me using the camper for a couple of months.
thanks
Josh
p.s. its '89

Josh,
I had trouble with the buzzer a couple of years ago, and from memory, and some notes I made in the Haynes at the time:- There are two oil pressure operated switches. One closes its contacts at 0.3 bar or below, and puts the oil light on. The other OPENS its contacts at 1.9 bar and below and it is this one, or any break in the circuit, that operates the buzzer when the engine revs are above 2000 I think it was. My problem was only no connection in the (two way?) block in the engine bay. Just follow the wire from either pressure switch. Mines a 2.1 '87.
Hope this may get you started.

thanks, just ordered the extension from brickwerks, should do the trick....

I'm nr norfolkpark, (city rd).

sounds about right for the rear sender (buzzer one) being an open curcit as I unplugged the wire to turn the buzzer off and stayed on constantly. when i get the guage working i will just earth it on the chassis to permenantly close the curcit. I think that will work!!

the van is white with a big high top.nothing special about it really. didnt have a problem with a stripe on the roof, but i did have trouble getting tape off the roof where the prev owner had 'repaired' the sky light. I have spent most of the time on the bloody engine. have you passed by??
what do you drive?? i may have seen it??
