Stainless Steel Exhaust For LPG T25

I have just called JP exhausts (so many of you here seem to have them and be happy with the qaulity) to make enquiries about getting one for my 1.9 (1989) petrol with Gas conversion T25. The only thing that concerned me though was that they said if I have LPG they won't give the exhaust its' usual lifetime guarantee...something about the fact that on gas the system runs much hotter than on petrol?
So I am a bit doutful now about how long one of these will last running on LPG. Does anyone on here have any experience of running LPG with a Stainless Steel exhaust system and if so has everything been ok?
Many thanks. Sandringham

sounds like a bit of a cop-out on their part, wouldn't have thought any temp increase on gas would be enough to bother a stainless system. i made a small pulse jet engine a few years ago out of stainless which got so hot it glowed orange when running, and the welds or tubing never failed.

I think the problem with certain grades of stainless steel is that it can crack, (especially on welded joints), if it gets over hot and is cooled too quickly like driving through a large puddle for example.
JP will use 304 or maybe 316 grade stainless. 310 grade is the 'heat proof' stainless but, that is big money.
Please correct me if I'm wrong

I have a JP exhaust and run on lpg as does AndySyncro and they repaired his no q asked, never asked me about fuel, it's for a petrol vehicle. The issue with the JP exhausts seems to be the non stainless parts of it ime.

Thanks for info so far.
JP won't be fitting the SS exhaust for me as they are too far away (my local VW dealer will do it) so if I have a problem down the line I wouldn't be taking it back to them anyway. So whats the worse that can happen? and what would it be likely to cost to fix? Would I be better to get an ordinary exhaust system seeing as I will be running on gas or will that need changing too often. What do you guys think?
Thanks Sandringham

I have been running lpg with jp stainless 2 yrs. Never had any trouble except one bracket broke about 2 months ago. Received my free replacement bracket today funnily enough. didn,t say mine was lpg'd when I bought the setup though.
