hi to everyone and happy new year - i went to visit relatives over xmas (as u do) and my t25 1900 auto started to stutter occasionally as if starved of fuel - so far it is ok when travelling on the level or downhill - usually speed at around 55-65 mph - got progressively worse on homeward journey - it would normally recover when speed dropped to around 25-40mph on uphill incline - really stumped on this one - can only think either something in carb or filter (have new filter and vw serviced this month for mot) - any ideas would be appreciated - regards john :!:

hi there had the same problem with my auto caravelle + i found a blocked filter on the carb if you take the pipe of the carb the one coming from the fuel pump i found where the pipe pushes onto the carb (its a brass pipe ) and inside there is a very small cone shaped filter / gause, and it was full of crap ( used a small hook to get it out ) took me over a day to find this problem on mine so hope it does it for you , let us know how you get on . :)

Had same problem. Mine was the jet which allows the float chamber to fill with fuel was blocked. (The needle valve). Had me foxed a while. Had to remove muck with a pin! (carefully). Good luck.
pm me if you're unsure of what I mean.

Just cured a similar problem on my 1.9DG. Turned out to be the ignition leads. So I replaced all 5 of them, the dizzy cap and some new plugs. All better now.
