Had the van for 7 months now and never found out what this is for... the little white cube next to the 240volt socket/zig unit ( the one with two slots in). Any ideas?

cheers

Can you put a pic up of it ??

I think it maybe one of the older type 12V dc conti-type plugs (caravan type)
Stick a voltmeter in it and see what the reading is.
Best I can do.

QUESTION = did you get rid of your Front Grill ??

It is a 12 volt socket.
I don't know if you can still get the plugs , they were supplied by W4 and were available from most caravan accessory shops.
If you are connecting a TV or other electronic things make sure you get the polarity correct. iirc the plug and socket are both marked.

you just have to cut plug off and rewire with one of the square jobbies, or spose you could rewire the square socket and change it for a cigarette lighter one.

Or make an adaptor.
You can buy them from an accessory shop with the newer type of 12 v plug on one end and an inline cigarette lighter socket on the other.
Just change the plug for your type.

Autohomes used to supply a little fluorescent to go into it, usually got lost or broken though, I think Holdsworth did similar too
