speedo cable

I have a new noise commin from under me dash, sounds like a tuc tuc tuc tuc. and speeds up the faster i go. really sopunds like its commin from the speedo . any views ?

I have a similar noise, changing the speedo cable did not sort it, not sure what else it might be?

You could always try disconnecting the speedo cable, one end at a time, to see if it is related to that. Disconnect the wheel end first and go for a short drive and see if the clicking is still there. If not, reconnect it, and then disconnect the speedo end. If that stops it, it would suggest it's your speedo clicking, if not, then it's cable related somehow.

Mine does the same and has done for 4 years and one brake disc/bearing change.
Cure - turn the radio up.

mine didn't work when i got it. it was the little circlip than holds the cable through the centre cap on the passenger side front wheel. it had rotted away allowing the cable to slip inwards and out of the square in the cap that it drives off. i pulled it back through and used wire in the circlip groove to stop it slipping back. i now have a circlip but since the wire is working i haven't changed it yet

Ok then, I disconnected the speedo cable from the speedo on the way home last nite, (praying that plod wouldnt stop me for speeding and asking me why i was) and the noise stopped, so is it the cable or the speedo, and why the noise, very odd
