just had my van converted to run on veg oil using a one tank system, does any one know why the van is smokey, at start up and when running. The pump has just reconditioned and using a mix of veg oil and diesel (30 litres veg and 20 litres diesel) to counteract this cold weather we are having at this time of year.
any ideas or help appreciated.
cheers

Run it on diesel with no veg oil mixed.When the engine has got hot check out if it smokes.If it does it could be badly adjusting fueling on the pump or pump timing.

It should have been reconditioned with a viton seal kit which are bio/vegi resistant.

What coulour smoke camper?

One tank systems will still put the pump under more strain then it would using diesel even if you have an induction kit for the pipes.

need more info on colour of smoke.

blue = oil

white = fuel
