Hiya,

On my new Syncro van there is a 4th slider under the usual 3 control sliders. (Screen, Heat and Floor) It has a sort of blue grid icon at the left end of it...

What's it do?

It`s to allow cold air into the rear compartment, via the eye-level vents in the back, which are fed through from the front door channels, and up the B post. (if you don`t have those vents then the heater fascia has been changed from the usual 3 slider type)
