I have / had a 1600 CS on a 4 speed box and I was on my way to the MOT station when piston number 4 sad "sod off"
I put new Injectors in after having them tested and finding out 1 dead 1 failing rapidly and 2 were on their last legs. Minus 100+ later having checked the valves, no its the piston!
Anyway I am now looking for a replacement
Simple Diesel 1Y or simular.
Please please please if you can help

You must go the back way next time, so it doesn't know what's in store

A Golf 1600 diesel has been known to pull these along (up to 60mph), a few Passats diesels being scrapped now for body reasons, just turned one down, nowhere to store it or emove engine... keep asking and looking and good luck.. spread the word, one will turn up
