 The first one under my ownership.
I have been through the usual checks, light, brakes, chassis, wheels, tyres, bearings etc.
Is there anything in particular I should look out for ?
Its a 1983, 1600 CS diesel, transporter now camper.
Any advice, would be very much appreciated.

as its a deisel when was it last serviced???? plus how old is the cam belt if they have um, as the tester will need to rev the nuts off it as few times to do the emmissions check! If i take a deisel for an mot i allways wip out the air filter as it reduces the emmissions oh and get it nice and hot before you get there !

New Air Filter, oil filter, fuel filter, Cam belt, Fan belt fited all in the last 2 months.
Exhaust is fine, brake pipes good, hand brake will double check again tomorrow, steering tight, drivers side rear suspension is abit lower, sags a bit but it has not done a mileage since august. All rubbers appear to be fine.

Ok I know its going to fail the first time :D but thats before I weld the front wheel archs.
The only problem was I opened the sliding door today it came off in my hand, bottom had previously been held together with filler and under seal, more welding, or is it not relevant for the MOT :? I'll do it either way.
As for the engine being warm the MOT station I use is 50miles from where I now live.
The guy who helps me with all of my motors is a GOD, what he does not know!!!!!! he's forgotten more than most will ever know 8)
