Petrol pump blanking plate?

Having changed to an electric fuel pump, where can I get a mechanical pump blanking plate for a 1980 air-cooled 2.0 automatic? As it's now redundant, I'd like to take the old pump off because it keeps leaking oil.

I'm sure one of the van dismantlers will have a proper blanking plate for not very much cash.

Take the pump off, get a piece of 4/5mm ali, make your own.

Use some gasket seal behind it when you refit it.

like GD above I made my own from a bit of scrap steel but if you want it all done for you then:
http://www.vwheritage.com/ssp/Engine-Pa ... lateID=ssp do one:
Fuel pump block off plate, T4
[AC127400] £9.95
Blocks off the standard Type 4 fuel pump mount when swapping to an electric fuel pump (the original mechanical pumps are now very hard to find)
