looking to do a aaz conv. have a 1.9tdi golf as donor complete.
currently running a straight 1.6d (yawn)
i have read a number of the other posts. I take I can use most of the engine as is,

what happens re gearbox? can i bolt to my original box? what about clutch/mating to flywheel?

i dont know if i should undertake this or not. have fitted 1.6s and replaced heads etc but some of the posts re turbos and manifolds lost me a bit so any advice gratefully recieved

An AAZ and an TDI are 2 very different things.

Yes, best advise i can give is don't bother with the electrics get a proper pump for the job.
