Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a high top westfalia and am wondering if anybody has some sort safety net type thingy that fastens across the front of the roof bed on theirs?
If anyone has one could you let me know where you got it from please?
Or has anyone had a good idea for a bodge? Wouldn't want the little ones to fall out.

If you check our 'garage' jobby, over there <<<<<< somewhere you see the hitop bed I made for our 2. It has a headbord to prevent anything or anyone rolling off.

Thanks,i think the one westy suggested may be the most suitable type for the van i'm looking at.
Just wondered if anyone knows what the holes in the side of the high top in an atlantic westfalia are for?Looking at the position of them makes me think they are for putting some sort of safety net up,so i thought there might have been something especially made.
I saw these holes on a photo of an atlantic on mpi campers website which got me wondering.

I suggest being creative.
We have a net from www.allplas.co.uk - asked them to knock up a net from lobster netting for our Autosleeper upstairs bit. Currently little one is in Parcel Shelf bed - but net is ready for when he moves upstairs.
Try a chandlers fro some stonking brass hooks to hang it from.

Yeah, sorry. I didn't realise it was for a Westfailure, you see to us screwfix cowboys a headboard's a headboard, it does what it say's on the tin ..... stopping kids and kid's stuff from falling down from the roof ..... obviously not as well as a Westfailure one though

Perhaps if you put 'Westphalia' in the thread title us mere mortals could ignore it and waste our time on summat else ... like saving up for a Westfailure

I have a westy pop top and the has a safety net thing for the top bunk, it just fits in to 2 brackets that are fitted to rail that bed sits on,

I was thinkin about using tomy bed guards do they fit quite easily? What age did you all put your little ones upstairs?
