Wiki didnt tell me? rev counter for a CS engine

Sorry Peeps,
Where and how do fit a rev counter on a CS diesel block?
I could nt make sense of the wiki but that might be cos I iz stoopid on friday nites

Factory diesel rev counter uses the w terminal on alternator. Hope that helps.

afaik, it gets connected to the alternator.
Connector "W", to be precise
