hi-jack / hi-lift

Question for the hardcore off-roaders ..
Am considering getting one of these hi-jack lifts, but I understand that it needs an adapter of sorts to fit the T3.
Has anyone got a working solution for this that looks a bit more confidence inspiring / stability inducing than this one:

I think Hi-Lift themselves do one that is just an extension piece that fits onto the jack.
It might even be for Landrovers IIRC.

yes the land 90? fits only issue is vehicle can tilt toward the jack with very tight tolerances (<1 inch), if you have a pristine van this may make you nervous, I have a couple of marks where it has caught coming down. And if you chock the front wheels front and rear whilst it is up, make sure you remove the rear chocks before lovwering as otherwise the van lurches on the axle stands and causes panel damage
Hi lift are chunkier and more solid than the clarke versions from MMart.

They're also good for emergency self recovery as a winch but I expect you already know that

if you girls ever get outta sainsburys and wanna do a group buy on waffle boards gimme a shout,will dig out contact details- got 1440 x 300 x 40 for stoopidly cheap money . we bought a pallet load once and got a "pooh" loada off-cuts gratis we used as jack bases .

Are those the plastic ones? if so I'm interested. How much would they be?

fibreglass ones , gritted finish on one side ! not worth buying the 50mm ones , think we worked it out the 40mm ones would still take the weight of a fully laden 110 balanced directly above one wheel and still not break - i dont think the 50mm ones are 25% stronger(or worth money) than the 40mm ones either IIRC , more like 10% .
gimme w/end and will dig out details, we got em cheap as we bought a pallet load between 10+ of us direct from factory.

I used to have those nasty steel ones that weigh a ton when I had my Landy
but always fancied some fibreglass/resin ones
Let me know when you find prices etc.

no worries , pretty sure it was fibreglassgratings or glassfibregratings .com or .co.uk this was a while back but they supplied all the suplliers in LROI/LR world etc etc . ive got a feeling we paid something like £30 summink inc delivery .
