Raising the (Devon) roof

Help!

After a year off the road, I just raised the roof of our T25 Devon camper with little success. It won't stay put. Lots of creaking on the way up and on the inevitable way down. Does this sound like the gas struts have bust? It's a heavy old roof but stayed up no probs before.

Any ideas? Where can I get replacements?

Cheers

At least it stayed on, which is more than mine did!

Rich, have you lowered your Devon? It looks mint btw.

was it cold when you put the roof up?? mine wouldn't stay up if it had been folded up for a while and it was cold! push up and down a few times and see what happens! new strut won't be cheap!

Will try roof when it's a bit warmer (April 08?!) It was freezing when I tried it.

Could the struts need a bit of oil? WD40?
