now winters here am thinking of sorting my rear end  have fitted relays into front and have 100/80s - NIGHT VISION  anyone fitted LED bulbs to rears ? worth it ? improvement ? failing that was thinking of running a very small aux fuse box straight from battery and relays for rear lights. same as fronts before i did em , compared to modern cars they are candles , i live in banjo country and have to commute on hillbilly lanes for first 5 miles before i reach decent roads

Hope you have fitted relays to run those headlamps!!!

Just fitting relays with good quality 60/55's makes a massive difference..

leds are fitted as standard to all new trucks n trailers over here in Oz. the only trouble you will / may have is the indicator will flash very quickly, the led's have virtually no resistance and the relay will act like a bulbs gone!
either get an led approved relay or fit another side repeater so the resistance will slow down the relay.

hope that sorts you out! jon

I tried LED's in the front indicators and I got the quick flashing problem. You can buy resistors to sort this out but DONT - they just allow more current to flow and are a waste of your battery! The LED relay solves the problem once you find the right one!

Note there is a limitation with LED relays - they will blow up if you use them with more than one incandescent (normal) bulb. See note here:

I am still trying to sort this out ..See here

Extra lights sounds a good idea - side repeaters would add to the safety too. :D
