Was joined by Aidan for the french syncro clubs AGM..
Great turn out as usual, about 30 vans... + a LR110 and a Nissan Xtrail...

Some great scenery and hours offroad... Sat morn we spent 5 hours with barely a bit of tarmac...

Not as many pics this time and less vid..

I must admit I had my eyes shut for a few seconds and shunted a hidden log, bending yet another merc rim... so a set of Mefro's are on order!!!!

We camped too and the weather help up, cool but nice and bright...

Now with added pics

Yes I had a great time and would like to say a big thanks to the french Syncro-Club, organisers, leaders, members and all who made me so welcome and put on such a great event and put up with my not improving rubbish schoolboy french. And thanks to Simon and Tracey for inviting me over and sharing this treat with me. If you have french then a trip like this would be doubly rewarding, and a great family holiday add on.

Here's a few pics for yous to look at, hopefully it's not too big files.

That looks brilliant, the French are lucky to have so much more countryside to play in.

The French club has to work hard to make that countryside available though...
Whilst our organisers do a helluva lot of research and work to organise Green-laning events, they don't have to actuallymeet and greet and press the flesh locally first... apparently they do in France.

Thanks to IOMSimonTooManyToys (:) ) and Aidan for reporting back, maybe one of you could elucidate on their kind of Syncro club and how they go about things... we can all learn from one another I'm sure

I have some vid and pics, but nowhere to save them..
Aidan will I am sure have a word about what they get up to at there AGM... I cant comment on what comparison it would be...

Yes.. they do have to "press the flesh" and get permissions... even then we encounter people that are not happy... and also off roading is basically illegal in France... you can only drive a track that could be passed by an ordinary road car without damage, thats the legal part..

Club events are seen to be acceptable... with permission.. we have restored a few "green lanes" and that normally helps with the locals...

I was asked if I could organise an event in my area... but I would need a lot help.. which was on offer.. but I feel next year is too soon for me...

The question was asked about what the Syncronaughts were doing for the 25th......... but thats another story which we are working on....
