I think yours must be taken from one of Silcocks Waltzers or summat

PS, the socket terminals and pins are numbered. And wires are usually linked up behind the rear lamps (soldered if possible).

What I'd like to know is where can I cut into the wiring for the rear lights? Is there a convenient connector or plug to join into, or any suggestions from those who have added a hitch - without a hitch! Hey, it's Sunday afternoon.

Any vehicle wiring colours would be useful as my manual has gone AWOL (The lesson from that? Don't lend stuff out, it rarely comes back!)

all the tail lights end up there

Would this be one of the big white plastic multi pin sockets inside there (7 or 8 pins I think)? I've noticed someone seems to have fitted and since removed some scotch connectors inside there - probably for the once fitted and also removed tow bar!

I was wondering if (assuming that's the right connector) someone knew of where I could get a spare pair of those sockets from, then I could make a nice neet extension lead to join these connectors and provide the trailer take off?

I'm going to refit a tow bar soon and want some neat way of wiring a socket, without the wires looseing contact randomly - scotch conectors are out!

yes that's the one .

I could not find the sockets
however I'm told they have existed as an option....needle and haystack

I used the cheap method scotchlocks in the box...they have been working OK for three years now.
