Hi all,

first things first, sorry for the same old bio fuel question.

Mine is a simple one however.

After crunching the numbers i have decided that i want to run SVO in my van.

I believe i can run 20% SVO to 80% diesel most of the year no problem.

I have read about injector sleeves and uprated injectors for single tank systems in which the engine is started up on cold SVO.

Q. Does any one know what is diffrent about these uprated injectors?
Q. Can the uprated injectors be got hold of?

if you run 20/80 you wont have any probs and wont need to change anything.s'only when you run high levels and in the cold it gets too thick. you can go to 70% SVO + 30% diesel in british winters with no waxing problems . ( if ya wanna be cheeky go higher percentage SVO and bung some unleaded in) there are millions of veg oil forums on the net with excellent info , you googled any yet?

www.dieselbob.co.uk They can do the seals for the pump& upgrade your injectors for biofuel.

Not sure I'd back the SVO/unleaded cocktail, that may give the right viscosity, but not good for your engine.

Ideally you should run a heat exchanger & some form of fuel filter heater as a minimum if you're going to switch to anything over about 15% SVO. HAve ahunt through google, there are a few temperature to viscosity charts floating about.
