I have been looking at a Westfalia and one of the double glazed windows has a nice supply of dead flies trapped in the middle, are the windows easy to dismantle to remove them or is there an easier way ? I couldn`t see where they got in either ! also the roof is black with mould, will this come off somehow or I should I leave the van alone ? any suggestions ?

Hi Spooky . . . mould inside?! Is there a damp problem somewhere with the van? (I guess you've probably considered that already though!)

on double glazed windows there are small plugs on the inside pane one or two depending on the size of window.these could be missing or may have been missing at a time and the flies got in

Thanks for that, I will check for plugs, I think the mould probably originates from the top not being aired after getting wet ? or maybe a faulty skylight, I will look again next week, the owner is supposed to be getting someone to clean it, thanks all

Quite right, the plugs are very small, my last caravan had the same problem, try dropping a spider on a leash through the hole
The outer and inner panes are sealed, but do suffer delamination on older vans.
