After all my troubles with a slow starter motor and a dud battery, I got myself a brand new battery, had a bush fitted.....everything great for about 3 weeks.then............Today I go to start her up........Click, click, ok......get a hammer give the soleniod a good whack...click.....ok , check all connections...all good...click......ok got a few of us put it in gear, give it a good rocking...Charge battery (just in case)....Click........Do you think my starters had it ????
I do but there might be something I've overlooked..anyone ?????

ummm just a little tip,,,
I don't think it is a simple job to change the ignition barrel - requires drilling in exactly the right place to remove the old one......
maybe worth purchasing the metal mount that holds it to the column as well if you are thinking of changing it over with only a spanner for company!
take care

thought he meant the whole barrel - I ran into this when someone tried to drive the van away - had to replace the bit the key goes into as they had smashed it to pieces...
sorry for misleading peeps...
