Fitting a Blubird twin exhaust - how hard will it be

Hi Guys,

Can I replace the box and tail with a stainless one from bluebird myself?

The bots to the heatexchangers look very badley rusted and I'm expecting them to shear.

Should I buy the exhaust and take to a zorst bloke or should it be quite easy?

Once I start I guess I wont be able to drive it!!

Well.. dont take the heat exchangers off the engine... not unless you really have too...
cu the bolts on the flanges and drill/knock them out, use new ones to bolt it back together...

OK, sounds like it should be OK.
Either shear or grind bolts off, tap out and replace with new stainless zorst.

Why do I feel nervous...?

The flanges on the heat exchangers where the silencer fit are not threaded .
Its good news if the bolts(studs) shear off ! (Unless you need to refit the original silencer)
I have drilled through the bolt heads/nuts ,close to the flange, to weaken them before trying to undo them - seems to work quite well.

just do it! if you get halfway through it and get stuck you can always take it to someone who can! you can drive without a silencer but it will be noisey, and possibly lacking in power slightly!
