pop top westy conversions

has any body installed a westy roof to a normal van ,as im looking into making new poptops,i wondered if anybody had managed to fit one to a normal van all help needed,as i know i have to change hinges ,and ive got roof pattern for cutting,just need advice ..cheers 1

OE Westy conversion van supplied to Westfalia from VW has a flat roof pressing, unlike panel vans etc that have a curved roof. This is to make a flat top bunk. This is the stumbling block in getting a decent top bunk.
Have a quick search, it`s been discussed in depth recently.
