Road gritting season- on or off the road?

Hi all

Just a general question here. Do many of you put your pride and joy's away for winter time. I.e. keep your T25's of the road during the gritting season?

My T25 is in outstanding condition, my ownership in the first gritting season approaches. I was debating of storing it in the garage over winter time, as have use to another car.

Thanks

Nesty

Well.. if you dont need it as regular transport and it will go inthe garage, then thats great... a lot on here though, use them every day... as its the only vehicle or the other half is using the other vehicle..

Ok, yeah just wondered. It's maybe, as I've never had a VW in such a good condition as this one.

I used to take the van off the road in the Winter, it did not matter where I stored her, she was always an absolute B*stard to gt running sweetly again. A couple of years ago I decided to use her all year round and she run's sweet as, I just don't get a pile of problems like I used to...

Ok maybe just the odd one now and then..

my current van lives in a carport all week and only comes out at weekends! unless were are on holiday! given the choice i'd drive it every day! my old t25 was a daily driver but when i got a works van it really struggled when i came to it at the weekends! if you can use it! waxoyl is a good idea too!

I put my treasured golf gti in the garage over the winter and make the van take the strain as my daily driver!!! I fully waxoyled the underside last year and I'll do it again next year.
I agree with all the other comments, they prefer to be used, mine always starts even when left for weeks but the tappets are usually noisy for a few miles after being left un-run for a couple of weeks.
