Argeed Value on Insurance

Hi

I've got myself a real nice 1984 T25 Holdworth camper. It is totally A1 mint inside and out everything works and interior it flawless . What you reckon the ballpark argeed value I should request. I can't use the purchase price, as I struck lucky on a ebay auction with no reserve.

I thought a complete A1 example of a T25 at least about £6000?

Hi there, Ive got an 86 holdsworth vision, DG wbx, 77,000 gen miles huge history, NO rust or marks, never been welded or painted, fully waxoiled , good original condision, All i could get was a value of 3500. Adrin flux. I think i seen that van on ebay,Was it the one with single seats in and kitchen at back.? It was exactly the same as mine. coudnt beleive the price.By the way i tried for 5000.

Hi

Thanks for the reply. No that wasn't mine, but know the one you mean. Mine not far different from that.

I am with Footman James, anyway I am sure they will tell me to bog off, if they ain't going for the argeed price I've requested!

Also I thought insurance sums worked like it's supposed to be enough to replace what you got. I mean £3,500 is not way near what it would cost to replace your bus. You would need at least £5,500 to do that! Perhaps even more if a simair bus was listed on ebay, like bidding against people!

Yea, that was the double of my bus, But i just accepted it, either that or market value. The person i bought my bus from only had it for 9 months, and they paid £6,000 for it, I still have the receipt. I was going to argue but i just wanted on the road. Interested to see how u get on,Rick

ive just insured with glynwood insurance and they told me to get a value from type 2 owners club which i did, they said it would cost £8200 to replace my van like for like and the insurance company agreed so that is what i will get if anything happens. without looking the insurance cost was about £220 with unlimited mileage and £2000 contents cover

Very interesting nutter - did you have to join the type 2 club to get them to give you a value?

Thats looks a good insurance policy - think i might be giving them a bell!
