I was wondering whether the 1.9 D upgrade from 1.6D effect insurance much - assuming you inform of course...

my bus is a converted 1.9 petrol water boxer to 1. 9 diesel TDI.....
Insurance company simpley changed the fuel type from Petrol to diesel...they were not bothered.........but they did get confused.......!!!!

I raised the issue of a possible engine change (1.6 to 1.9TD) when first insuring mine and it wasn't a bother. When I had completed it the broker asked for a letter from an engineer to confirm that it had been done properly. No additional premium.
I am also partway through converting from a van to a multivan interior and this drawn out process has not been an issue either. (often the intermediate stages can be a problem).
Insurance is with NIG through Glynwood Insurance Services Ltd 01527 591057 (Redditch).
