tiz not the first time ive been in a situation were syncros only dare go in my 2 wheel drive van harryman.

to be fair it took a hell of a run up and around 6 people to dig/push me out but i got their in the end :lol: the syncro was handy to pop down tescos for some babyshams for the ladys mind you :wink:

We shall have to give it a go Jed.. looks a nice pass, and to be honest, think a lot of us enjoy twisty tarmac just as much as the rough stuff...

but the babycham run to Tescos? Perhaps not.. :(

The other really nice pass that I have seen in Britain is tha Applecross Pass just North of Kyle of Lochalsh off the A896. Sea level to over 2000ft it is the closest you can get to an alpine pass that I have seen.
Sorry not in a syncro (trekka 4x4 though)

Well worth a visit if you are doing the west Coast. Loads of free campers, some in caravans and quite permanent.

stayed at the kyle of lochalsh for our honeymoon, gorgeous, went through the applecross pass on the way to catch the ferry from skye well early start so I dont remember much about it!
