This is the third time I have done this trip, first two were in my 2.1 high top camper which the fuel results for are in the Wiki; this year was in the 1.9Tdi Syncro 16 Westy pop-top.

We ran the air-con most of the time once we got into Southern France and had the roof rack up top.

Long motorway drives Bristol -Paris - Toulon and Toulon - Bristol at c 105-110KMH.

Mainly low speed winding coast/mountain roads on Corsica.

We left brimmed, and i brimmed the tank when we got back.

Got some clips of the Corsican roads somewhere which i will put up on here sometime.

We hope to do Corsica next year, in the syncro. Worth the drive then if you have been a couple of times. We were going to stop at the Ardeche on the way down and do the 21km gorge in the canoes. Then hopefully the alps on the way back, I fancy doin the highest pass, what better than a syncro to do it in.

We went to Corsica in 2004 but in VW Golf and camped - it was stunning.

Our route went through the alps into Italy, staying in Asti near Turin down to Savona to catch the Corsican ferry - which waited for late passengers!

We stayed on the East side of Corsica and camped in the woods next to the beach with loads of Dutch T25 owners.

We toured around the island for 3 weeks our 7 year old loved it and still talks about going back.

We found it a real adventure, the Italian campsites we stayed in were great and very friendly.
