Has anyone changed the brake booster (servo) for a BMW one.
I've just got a brake servo & master cylinder from a BMW E36 318i (£9.99 off eBay) although it seems to be the right dimensions the fixing bolts do not line up with the VW 'holes'. Yes, I could get the file out to make it fit but this, I think, would seriously weaken the assembly.
So have I got the servo from the the right BMW model or not - enlightenment gratefully received.

The info I got was from Jean-Louis, Mike Plompen's mechanic, at Vanfest.
As for a collection, Andy, my speculation usually results in an accummulation!

Some merc, Some BM's and Some LT's...
Bolt on mod as far as I know.

Oettinger used a Merc one.

Yes Simon, LT strikes a chord.
I use to have an LT van (rusted away but I kept the mirrors!).
As I recall it developed a brake problem which involved servo and vacuum pump and to cut a long story short I compared the LT servo to one that came form a 1990 'velle and they seemed identical with regard to their physical dimensions.
ETKA list two for the LT, a single and twin diaphragm, I assume the twin diaphragm to be the more efficient?
Oh well back to eBay!
