:whistle www.samaritans.org :shady

Have you enough room to put a large socket over the top of the joint and then pull it up using the nut and some washers through the square drive hole ?

Haven't got the bible here ... thought it pressed in or pulled up from below and had a big circlip on't bottom ? What about a 3 leg puller from underneath onto a socket covering the pin but onto the body of the joint ?

Press it in...
Hammers and chisels dont work as it bends the flange...
It is a pig of a job....

Mark I have been told that the weight of the van will push it in....
and that was from someone who done it at the sidse of the road.
as tomanytoys says about the flange, once you have bent it the circlip is impossible to get in.

An old fashion fly press will do the job. Most garages used to have these in not far days gone by.Why not try to see if there is a engineering shop or garage near you with one.
