Just bought a 1988 Club Joker westy hitop and would be grateful for some advice.
The external hook up is a standard UK one with a blue adaptor with 3 pins in a triangular shape. Inside the van there is a socket with 3 pins in a horizontal line. I have looked in several camping shops but can only seem to find adaptors with the triangular pin arrangement.
Could somebody please advise where we could find such an adaptor, in order that we could watch a small tv/dvd player in the van?

can you remove it and replace with a standard socket?

The internal socket is a German type one, just get a Continental adapter, that converts German to UK 3 pin and plug that into the socket, or you can remove the German socket and wire up a UK type 3 pin, but this will require some cutting of the cupboard as the UK sockets are bigger than the Continental ones. Most people use an adapter, available from travel shops etc.
