Thought I would ask here first before doing any sort of search my self, we are looking at a few different ways of covering this trip coz one of our the kids wants to fly (Manchester/Beauvaye) while the other wants to go by train (Eurostar).

If any one has done this trip in their camper and can offer any advice in any shape or form may be a great help,,,,,,,as it is so far we have found out if we spend almost half again of what a package is going to cost ,it may be cheaper to go to 'Disneyland' in Florida.

Regards

Fritz,,,,,,,,,

PS, me and our lass have been to Paris/Disney years ago before the kids turned up, when it was buttons to get in .

Well Fritz owd lad, I have been to France 13 times by car but I have never been to Disneyland, Paris. Just for the record, the French prefer Parc Asterix. O.K so Disneyland it is.

Beauvais is out to the west/north west of Paris & Disneyland is well out to the east. You would most likely have to get a train from the airport to the centre of Paris & then another one out to Disney.

If you choose Eurostar there would be a lot of changing trains & with 5 of you.....erm

Train: Ormskirk - mainline station (Wigan NW/Warrington Bank Quay) - London ???? - Underground - London ???? - Paris (on Eurostar) - Disneyland Paris(ish). :)

Eurostar used to leave from London Waterloo? but I have read that it now leaves from another station. Maybe an 80-90er who lives in London can help out with this info? :)

The two large airports in Paris are Charles de Gaulles & Orly but there is another small airport to the east of Paris which is mainly used by charter flights. Sorry, I can't remember the name of that airport. Also, I havn't got a map of France or the Paris area to hand at the moment. :(

There is a campsite at Parc Asterix or nearby was pretty good from what I can remember might be worth a search - we just followed the signs and they had plenty of room.

Fritz, our eldest was there middle of July, on a school trip. There are a number of small-roomed hostel stylee hotels which have sprung up in the immediate surrounds of €urodisney. If these are financially viable for school trips perhaps they'd be up your street if you end up flying ?

If you're interested I can find out which one Tina stopped in.

Ian.

Fritz I took the kids to eurodisney in August stayed on the site in the link above. I like quiet and clean this was both and only 15 mins from eurodisney. You can stay on the car park at eurodisney but we had 4 of us bikes awning and a months worth of camping kit so prefered to use a site. Top tip for entry tickets ( well it worked for me ) lots of people buy 3 day passes use them for 2 then sell the remaining day off on ebay. eg we bought 3 adult tickets and 2 childs tickets giving access to both parks for 90 pound didnt need one of the childs tickets so sold it on ebay for 20 pound that was us sorted !! usually have a couple of months expirey date. was an excellent day out 10am until 11:30 pm used this as a stop over before travelling to the south.

Hope this helps.
Sean.
