Towing things with a T25,,,,,,,

I don't really re-call having any issues when towing our trailer till last weekend during our trip to the North west tip of the lake district. All was well till either we got held up in a bit of traffic (road works/traffic lights) or 'He' (the van ) was under load when climbing,,,,,,,,, Not to mention bellowing plumes of blue smoke on the over-run which is another story all together....
So with one eye glued to the temp gauge,,,,,once it moved anywhere I was able to extract any excess heat via the cab heater blower. This is an old trick I developed ever since only ever owning vehicles over 10 years old .
The only time things on the temperature gauge sorted them selves out was when we got back on the motor way,,,lots of air passing through the rad etc,etc
I suppose any van is going to suffer when towing up 7,10 or even 20% inclines so perhaps I'm being a bit fussy, even so it made for an interesting drive in the lakes both there and back.
