Anyone fit LED lighting to the van?

I'm looking at white cold cathode tubes on ebay LINK but am unsure on the amount of voltage the inverter will eat from my leisure battery. Anyone shed any light on that?

I hear Ikea do a good range of roof spotlights etc. Can they just be rigged straight to the leisure battery via a switch and fuse?

ours are rigged via the leaisure battery with a fuse and a switch. feel free to take a clsoer look if you like.

I have 10 LED's as "soft" lighting around the floor of the rear, and 3 largeish ones on a pin switch for the sliding door. As most LED's are 12v anyway and draw very little ampage you should have no problem.
Clearly if buying from Ikea etc you will not need to use the 240v transformer (but worth checking they are 12v!)

I bought some 12v spots with 21 led's in each and they are very good. but the light is quitre cold. Excelent to read buy and a teeny weeny solar panel will replace all the juice they use with ease as they are so efficient. But i would have a strip light as well if you want something with more warmth to it as long as it's a nice one. My lumo strip was nice.

We've got those led lights that you can get at B&Q and Ikea for a few quid, they like a circle of 3 leds, you press the lense and they turn on. They're brilliant but the scotch pads on the back are crap, but since you'll have to take em off to change the batteries, we use velcro.

I'm sort of torn at the moment whether to replace the standard tubes in Westy with a couple of those.
