Another fantastic weekend, Northumberland is a lovely area with a lot of history.
Sorry you couldn't make it.
Lanes were good, company was good, loads of beer, dry, good weather.
The sunday evening last few lanes were very interesting.
We clocked up 1407 kms, 120 litres of fuel (including minor leak), not sure about the amout of beer.
Off to recover (have another beer).

'twas a very good weekend. Think all impressed with the beauty of the area, and we made some good discoveries (lanes are not driven much, very heavy undergrowth, and some authorities been spending money making sure some are not 'usurped' by landowners or fall into neglect (new gates, culverts, fordings etc.)
A good campsite that, too...

Shop does a mean fish 'n chips and tasty pizza and in a very pretty area... no real rowdies there, ahhhh (No reproduced music really allowed, though there's always got to be one showing off his bass woofers and boot-lid flex!) so what a pleasure to hear human conversation and laughter drowning out the place.
Thanks Kev, sorry you had to work... (some good candidates for end-to end there)...
961 miles, 24 mpg this time, getting better, but had to drive back fast (ish)

Yeah, thanks Kev. I'm still here, stayed last night at super campsite in Wooler, really cheap (£6) massive hill site with a great view across to Doddington Moor. Recommended for anyone planning a return trip to the area.
I'm planning a few days exploring the local ancient sites and rock-art. Having a laptop with Memory-Map and Internet access rocks !

Some of syncro enthusiasts who came out to cheer us as on.......
The happy smiley people who participated (I was sitting between Sharon and Andy)......
More to come.

PS. The last photo is the Syncronauts' new 'Not the Spragmans' hexagonal shelter tent, 'being tested'...
So easy & quick to erect and take down, packs away great, Doug's the quartermaster for it and a few other bits and bobs at the moment
Thanks for the idea Julia, and all the other folks who contributed - time you joined us ?

Looks like we're going to have to do a double size calendar this year... so many good photos throughout the year, and still another event to go.
Either that or we'll have to reduce the size of them, or just pick the real stunners... but thinks we'll have a problem whittling them all down.
Can we up the size and cost of the calendar do you think, so we have some spare pages for all this good stuff?
Do we stick with about £4-00 or do a special edition, for a special year?
A very big thanks to Kev
