LHD conversion to RHD?

As I'm going to be doing some serious steering column / dash mods to my Subaru powered Syncro camper soon, I'm considering converting it to RHD while I'm at it too.
Has anyone done the job before? - if so, I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me what kind of a job mounting the bevel box at the bottom of the column was on the right hand side was. Thids looks the most difficult bit by far. Specifically, I'm wondering whether it means custom fabrication, grafting in bits from a RHD, etc.
I know they guy from North Wales (sorry I can't remember what your name is if you're reading) with the stunning 996 powered '85 (or '86?) Multivan did his. Only problem was that I spent so long asking about the engine and suspension side of the mods at Tatton Park, I forgot to ask what kind of a job the RHD conversion was.
Any help much appreciated. Thanks,

Seem to remember that it isnt such a problem.. as long as you have all the RHD parts..
But why? I suppose with all the extra power you have .. overtaking doesnt need to be planned like the rest of us!!!

its a total pig of a job, you need a complete rhd cab from the B pillars forward ( you wont need the doors!) i've done it, it took about 60 hours, you will need to be a compitent welder and cutter! virtually everything from the lhd will be ditched and replaced with the rhd stuff, inc wipers, column brackets (you cant take the lhd and put it in the rhd place) a whole section of front where the brake booster is, it will also mean you have to cut thru the main strut between the rad grills there are 1001 things to consider, if you want more info pm me your e-mail address and i'll help as best i can.
ive heard of 2 been done, know of only 1, but thereare lots wanting to do it both left to right and vise versa!! its a weird world!

Thanks for the replies. I have access to a few RHD's in my local breakers. There's not much left on them, and I know they are planning to clear the yard soon. There are enough parts to obtain everything for the conversion, but I need to be quick.
My Syncro surrently is currently 160 bhp, and it's only occasionally that being LHD annoys me (stuck behind a truck in a windy road, with plenty of power to overtake, but no vision, etc). I can't deny that I'd rather it be RHD though. It'll soon be upgraded to Forester XT power (2.5 turbo, 230 bhp, with a lot more available via an ECU remap) on LPG. I'll be converting the electrics so the majority of the circuits are Subaru based, with the exception of the heaters, probably, so the dash will have to come out to access all the wiring, and be modified to accept the instruments, etc.
Welding, adding / making steering column brackets, etc not a problem, but the one bit which looks awkward is the bevel box mounts. Kind of tucked up into the corner of the chassis rail and the front cross member. I don't really want to have to hack large pieces of the floor / chassis rail out, but can do if required (I have a plasma cutter). I just want to know how big a job it is. Ideally I'd like to see some photo's of how someone else did the job before I make my mind up whether to go and buy all the necessary parts.
I wasn't intending to bother reversing the wipers - assuming (without investigating) that it would only be as bad as a RHD torsion bar Beetle, which never did have RHD wipers - i.e. somehting you're aware of when driving, but not really a problem. I think I'll go and sit in the passenger seat to see how much worse the wiper coverage is on that side. Or maybe you have to convert the wipers, if the motor is in the way of the brake servo, etc? If anyone can confirm this it'd be really useful.
Not sure how this applies to T25's, but RHD to LHD on European cars is generally easier then vice versa, as the parts on the left often still have the mounting points, etc because they were designed LHD originally. For example, LHD the column tube and pedal mount positions are clearly visible in RHD Beetle panels. They just don't have holes / reinforcing plates there.
Thanks,
