I have 6 16" steelies that I have just taken off my van. They are there if you want to make me an offer. Unfortunately they are in Scotland but you may get somebody to bring them down to vanfest.

I might be able to get a set of steel 16x6 ET30 syncro wheels with a load weight of 900kg(per wheel) for approx £375 - Brand new set of 5
I need to check with my supplier in Germany if you're interested? If anyone else wants any, I'll try to negotiate the price.
Cheers

One slight problem (well 2 actually) if your van is a 14" originally, that hasnt been mwntioned..
Clearance in the arches with big tyres on the 16" rims and then the rear swing arms... and secondly you may find it has ruined the gearing.. ie it will be too tall... So dont go too big on the tyres...

Im glad u brought that up i was wondering about clearance n the likes coz my van is origanaly a 14.

n what about the breaks will an upgrade definately b rquired? or will they b ok on the breaks ive got? they are well maintained? cheers for ur opinion.

You can do one of 2 things,
1)grind away clearance on the swing arm, cut away the guard clearance and add a plastic "guard cover".
or
2)buy the correct swing arms and cut away the guard clearance and add a plastic "guard cover".
Your gearing will be affected with 16" depending on tyre profile.
The bigger the diameter the higher the torque requirement. It could possibly alter your speedo accuracy depending on tyre profile.
From what I have learned, braking shouldn't be an issue as you are still stopping the same mass, and the higher speed will not be an issue unless you can make your engine push the brick faster at higher speeds.
PS: some people have 2 spares. 4 + 2 spares

Go for 15" and you won't have an issue. Get 215/75X15 Tyres, no cutting, grinding, brings the odo back in line(if running 1.6td syncro), looks very similar to 16", also you must remember that original 16" syncros have more strenthening in the chasssis and other mods like bigger brakes from the LT, plus a list of other items.
It depends on what floats your boat, economy? looks?

Have a word with Russel (Syncronutz) or CJ (Syncrospares) they should be able to tell you whats the biggest you can go with 16's on a 14..
or another member will be along in a min!!!
