Well, a quick check on the DVLA website confirms that the van is still on the road, it has a current tax disc to November this year.

I can't help other than that, sorry!

hooray !!!!found the old girl parked at vanfest, so the new owners are obviously enthusiasts, looked rather jaded since we last owned it but it was 12 years ago... if you know the owner of it drop me a pm as ive loads of history on it that would be handy for them.. i had no pen or paper with me so couldnt leave a note....

The vehicle details for YVV 189S are:

Date of Liability 01 01 1995
Date of First Registration 15 04 1978
Year of Manufacture 1978
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1098CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour BLACK
Vehicle Type Approval null
The information contained on this page is correct at the time of enquiry.

Does'nt look like it's taxed anymore, or it has passed away, and it was black when last taxed

does this mean that if I write to the DVLA they can pass on an expression of interest to the registered owner....

if it had passed away...surely the reg would not list it as a derby??

But thanks for getting me the info anyway.....couldn't point me in the right direction could you?

cheers

try these

Date of liability states when car tax was last due, so it looks like it is gone

http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Ow ... DG_4022067

http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPor ... dSSmfrdnnY!

Just press home, then Vehicle Enquiry
