Got a fridge in my van, its says "Elektrosuisse" on the front. It only runs off gas, has a dial going from 1 - 4, a green button, dial with green and white section in it and a starter pizzo thing. Cant get the thing going, and cant find any info on the web about it. Anyone know anything about these fridges?

ps. it also has an ice compartment.

This is the drill for lighting you fridge ,
Make sure the gas is turned on at the bottle (check by lighting the hob)
Press and hold the green button in.
Push the piezzo button rapidly and watch the green & white dial.
When (IF) it lights the needle will slowly rise out of the white and into the green.
After 10 or 15 seconds you can release the green button and the needle should stay up in the green.

If it dosnt light after a minute or two , leave it for 10 or 15 minutes before you try again - you can flood it just like you can a petrol engine.

Hope this helps

Followed the instructions on lighting, still no joy. Looks like im going to have to take the cooker, sink unit to bits to get at it. Need to take it all apart though, rewiring! Fixed split charger today, need to power stereo off the lesuire battery, all the lights - some are some arnt, and fix the pump!

Finally got around to removing the fridge, took some extreme use of the chisle!
Got the thing to light, burner was full of crud, got nice and cold after a while, green dial never moves though. has a red wire attached to the fridge frame and a blue on attached to the gas valve one with the green button used to start the fridge. Anyone any ideas on how the gauge is supposed to work?

Been doing some experimenting and googling, the meter is a galvanometer (flame indicator) this is connected to a thermocouple. The thermocouple when heated produces a tiny voltage (mines putting out 30mv) this is detected by the galvanometer which moves the gauge. The connections on mine are bad so its only getting around 6mv but still moves. Ill post some picks up later of the bits. The thermocouple also opperates the gas safety valve shutting the supply off if the flame goes out.

Note gas connectons temporary, be careful with gas :)
