I have a 1.6 diesel and as you all know the heating is useless. My wife and small daughter are now complaining. i have the chance to get heating for the back cheap.

is it a big job to fit? I think there will be some plumbing involved but should it be worthdoing.. The guy tells be he will sell it and fit it for 50 pounds.

only just noticed this thread.i cant believe nobody has replied to it.i think you would be better off buying an eberspacher heater.it will cost more but its more compact. and where would you fit that heater..plus it looks like that one will need a lot of power to keep it running...

Heating in diesels is generally damned good. I'd have a look at whether you have a blocked heater matrix or whether it's airlocked.

Oh and we can't respond to EVERY thread immediately - everyone's on at different times and rumour has it that we have lives, too.

Yes the heating is good in my diesel, in fact very hard to switch it off - one of the cables needs changing. Have you got the part that deflects heat to the rear, it fits between the front seats and channels hot/cold air to the rear by the use of the fourth/bottom lever on the heating controls? if not, try getting one of those first - a damn sight cheaper and easier to fit

My 1.6 TD heating is very good. Too hot on full and about right half way or less. The only time I had problems with it was due to an airlock in which case it either worked or it didnt...nothing inbetween.
