Grrrrr.... Adjusting Hydraulic Clutch (Or Not!)

If I was double jointed on every limb then there is a very remote possibility this could be done! I have been upside-down, inside out & back to front and I still cant get anything onto the hydraulic clutch adjuster to free the locking nut on it and... adjust it! Theres just not enough room! Need to do this as there is a fair amount of free play on the clutch pedal. The clutch adjuster is above the master cylinder. Anyone been flexible enough to do this and if so... How?!! (Ps. Yoga classes are not an option!) :D

There should be NO need to adjust this rod at all, as the hydraulic system should compensate for any free play adjustments as the clutch wears.

I'd be having a good go at bleeding the system if it was me. If there is loads of movement before anything starts to resist may indicate a clutch release bearing fault...

Cheers Fritz! Yeah, thats what I thought. Had engine out recently and checked release arms & bearings etc. Seems to work fine, no squidgy pedal or owt, just about 2" of free play at the pedal. Haynes reckons its adjustable and i'm wondering if someone before me has had a play. Somehow Haynes can make the impossible turn into reality... On paper anyway!

I'll have a go at bleeding tomorrow anyway and see how it goes!
