I want to replace the carpet in my autosleeper with a bit of bling lino.
To any one that has done this to you just do the rear area or will it bend up into the cab bit as well.
Also how did you finish the edges.

Ours has got lino on the main floor area only, not in the walkthrough or cab. Stuck down with double sided carpet tape, trimmed neatly up to cupboards and tucked under cab and bed area carpet.

Looks good, a dam site more practable than my carpet at present. On a side note my fridge had a boring beige plastic cover which I have covered in brushed steel fablon, as soon as I get some sleep and time of I will post some pictures.
I might even go crazy and do the garage thing

That flooring looks nice, where did you get the black trim from and how is it fixed to floor, screwed or glued? Im thinking of laminate flooring but the edging is putting me off.

The black trim came with the van, sorry. It is screwed to the floor and pop rivited to the sliding door sill. Don't know if it's a VW part, (couldn't see a part number), or an aftermarket part but, it definately is not homemade.

If you mean the black trim round the sliding door access, then I think it is either a VW part or something the coach builders came up with.
I have something similar on my Autosleeper.

We've recently put lino in the main floor (not cab) but we took the cupboards out first so that you can't see the edges. The edges near the doors are held down and covered by a metal strip that is screwed to the floor.

I would definately rate lino 8) It has made such a difference to the van. No more muddy carpet!!!

You can buy loads of different plastic, aluminium and steel angle profiles from B&Q which would be suitable for the sliding door trim, as well as for the walk-through step.
