According to Haynes manual (1982-1990), it's fuse no. 10 for models up to 1985 and fuse no. 11 for 1986 onwards. Is your van definitely air cooled? Ours is 1985, C reg and water cooled.

Cheers :)

if its air cooled you will have only one grill on the front, but if it is a C it will be water cooled,

can you hear the washer motor when you pull the switch, it may just be muck in the jets, poke a thin piece of wire in the jet whilst someone pulls the switch.

Sounds very strange! If you look here:

https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Main_Page#Engines

there is a photo of a watercooled engine and an Aircooled engine (click on the photos to see a bigger pic), which does yours look like? When you open the reg. plate service flap is there a plastic top-up tank on the left?

Cheers

Just seen your other thread where Rozzo is offering to help sort out the Aircooled / watercooled conundrum! :D

So 1986 and Aircooled then! I wonder if it was sat around for a few years before being converted to a camper and then registered? Which Haynes manual will you buy?!
