Gas tank ... best place?

We're not sure whether to put the gas tank under seat or in the wardrobe.
We have a Westy kit conversion, 1988 LHD.
If we go for the wardrobe, would there be a list/lean of any kind affecting driving?
What's the biggest tank have you found that fits in the space under a 3/4 r&r seat?
Thanks

speak to the fitter , ask them about the tank sizes ,
i take it the bed is a rock and roll ? if so then its the bed that will govern the size of the tank due to the hinges ,

Why not try to get the tank put where Westy put it originally, rather than using valuable space inside the `van ? Plenty of Westys being broken, sure a tank will be available with all the bits to mount it correctly, also underslung water tank etc.

Westy.Club.Joker the tank is for LPG to run engine, not to run heating and cooker. Thanks for your reply.
We are looking for the underslung tanks too, so if anyone has them.. get in touch.
Thanks
Nicky

Steve at Gasure seems to favour the big donut in the wardrobe on a Westy, looks a neat fit to on the one I saw. The extra weight on that side would not be noticed, it`s a fraction of having a fat mate sat in the back seat on one side

or carrying a full tank of water about

Hi
I have been told the under slung tank is not an option unless you have a syncro. You need 20cm of clearance from the bottom of the tank to the ground. The small tanks are 20cm which only leaves 18cm clearance. 2cm can make all the difference.
I have thought of getting the plasma torch to the floor pan to get the extra space and putting a raised floor under the cupboards. Is this silly

If your springs are ok it won't lean, i have the JK heavy duty ones and mine dont lean and the fridge and cupboards are that side as well, leaned on me saggy old ones though,
