is it inside? If outside could it be the rain dripping down into the engine air vents? I have that on mine and it is bl**dy loud when in your bed!

Make sure someone hasn't drilled through the panel above the door seal at the back .... or even took a saw to it (don't laugh we saw one recently ... didn't we Tony  ) That would drip onto the head/pillow area, or fill the rear overhead locker if you're blessed with one of them.

Certainly did! I wasn't the one that put the saw cut there though ("honest guv")! But I was the one who got the job of draining water out of his ear each morning (still got dampness on the brain though and its wreaking havoc with the wiring in there!) until suitably guided as to how to fix a previous owner's Autosleeper hacksaw massacre!

recently done a silmilar leak, it was coming from the sealant along the gutter and running under the hightop bottom lip, dug it all out and resealed, now ok...

OK,you mention ''when the roof is up''. This leads me to believe that your Auto-Sleeper is a solid sided pop-top. Check the vertical rubber seal (strip about 12''-14'' High & 1.5''Wide) on the o/s rear corner of the roof.
I had a leak on the n/s front corner on my roof at Van Wet due to 'driving rain'. The water collected on top of the tall cupboard which is back to back with the front passenger seat.
