got a full set on the van , but twice now i've managed to knock off one of the front one's
they are the type that clip on with those two part fittings and a bolt that goes through the body.
one of the reasons i've managed to knock one off is i've clipped a kerb when parking up

but mainly due to them being made of plastic
anyway the question is do i just refit it or just take the other side off ?
frelling thing

throw the stupid clamps away and use nut s and bolts and fit them properly !
use brackets to steady them on the inside - mine stay on

ive put a couple of self tappers in mine straight into the wheel arch and then put some clear silicone over the screw to water proof the screw head, to get in my drive i have to go over a kerb and the mud flaps are perfect.

I could get the O/S/F one on fine using those stupid clips ... the N/S/F !!! Not a kin prayer, so attacked it with the old cordless

Take care because next time the flap wants to be pulled off it may take a chunk of metal with it, that's why they fit them with clips.

Cut `em down a bit so they are less likely to snag the ground, `specially on lowered `vans.

I got genuine VW front ones, no chance of knocking them off as they bolt through the panel behind the wheelarch, with a load of thick steel plate behind the 'flap under the van for reinforcement and extra splat disspersion. Never hit the kurb, my whitewalls do first

I doubt you'd get them now though, but it could be worth asking a main dealer to do a parts search? the nubers for them are on ETKA I belive..
