granada alloys

thinking of getting granada alloys for van, there used to be info on them on the web site but dosnt seem to be there now so the question is
does the center need machineng out to fit the centre of the wheel.

the centre of the wheel wont need machineng to fit buthe centre caps of the alloys wont fit!! you'll need longer studs and bolts and collars to make them fit safely! tho they will fit without all of that!!!

cheers dave, the rs ones look nice and a a reasonable price, always need the bargin as new baby on way and van is now my luxury item. good news though
any idear what size spacers???

you won't need any spacers!!!! unless you want the centre caps to fit then your looking about inch and a half!! i made do with no caps at the frount cos of the dust caps and drilled the caps for the back so the hub nuts could stick out!!! congrats on the bab!

sorry no! the collar goes round the head of each bolt, or nut, because the hole in the alloy is a little to large for the vw bolt size, the collar is like a domed washer!!

ok i get you, will have to look into this bit some more, was gunna get bolts in studs n nuts from fireturk "think thats his name" sure he can sort me out the right bits, thanks for your help

I think the threads still there they came with tyres too £150 was the price me thinks

yeah there nice, n something i can afford, the thread mentioned machining the centre. do you think that needs doing, the other guy was pretty convinced they didnt,
also thread mentioned merc ml alloy, anyone know whats involved with them, smaller tyres i would think???
this has to be the year for new wheels

alternative wheels
The granny wheels would not need machining as they are already fitted to the van..if you bought those.
I've seen these wheels and they're in fine condition
why not give shepster a call (e-mail) and see if they're still available?
The merc alloys mentioned in the thread are mine that I bought , they are 16"and need no machining just longer bolts and spacers
