i have just cut 3 ribs off my bump stops as copied from the wiki,thanks for the info all went smoothly. one question though my van has gone even lower to the point i had to cut 15mm of the bottom of the front mud flaps is this normal,the clearance from the tyre to underside of the arch is about 2.5 inches is this ok . the van was lowered 60mm springs from jk and grounded abit over bumps and sleeping policemen hence the reason i did the stops ,what i really want is someone to tell me all is well and its normal ,thanks for readind, tim.

60mm is a lot for a camper, usually recommended max 45mm. The bump stops are to stop the wheels going so far up where the tyres hit the underside of the wheel wells (mine did this on 45mm drop Jamex (which are more like 60mm drop when fitted) but I had issues with the wider wheels, spacers and tyres etc, so maybe this was the main problem.

I cut 2 ribs off the front bumpstops.

ive coverted the front wheels to studs and used spacers with the slk wheels so have no problem there the grinding is much better and seems a smoother ride with doing the bump stops but i didnt relise the front would go down even more so the question is ,is this normal or have i

agree with W.C.J above . . . .I done the -60mm drop from JK's on me camper.
Looked the "DOGS", but ride was crap even with bumpstops cut down
45 Avo's on the front has levelled the van, and the ride is sweet!!

To answer your question, No this is normal i had to take my mudflaps off all together! as people have said -60mm on a fully loaded camper may prove a little low, i did this and changed the fronts to -45mm after a while.
